Although we do not recommend it, you can accept collect calls at your room telephone. Collect calls are billed at the most expensive rate and have an additional $2.00 surcharge added to each call. If you start your call in one period and hang up in another, you will be billed at the rates applicable to each period. Because these calls are billed to the college by extension number only, the charge for the collect calls will be placed on the bill of the student whose name is first in the alphabet. You are responsible for the charges unless you make other arrangements with the Telecom office. If another person in the room receives collect calls on a regular basis, arrangements can be made to have calls placed on that person's bill. If a collect call is accepted at your extension and you cannot discern who accepted it, the charge will be divided equally between roommates.

THERE WILL BE A CHARGE OF $2.00 ADDED TO EACH COLLECT CALL because of the additional time needed to process these calls to your bill.
